When We Were Young Festival has confirmed it will take 2026 off, with organisers promising the beloved Las Vegas emo gathering will return in October 2027. Since launching in 2022 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, the one day event has become a pilgrimage for pop punk and alternative fans worldwide, frequently expanding to a second date each October due to overwhelming demand. After four consecutive years, the team says the break will ensure the festival’s future remains as special as its past.

In a heartfelt message to fans, When We Were Young described the decision as a necessary pause rather than a farewell. The statement thanked its loyal community for the songs, memories and moments shared across its run, adding, “This isn’t goodbye, it’s just a pause.” The announcement closes the chapter on another standout year for the nostalgia driven event, which has cemented itself as a defining fixture on the global emo festival calendar.

Recent editions have delivered era defining reunions and full album performances. Highlights have included Panic! At The Disco celebrating ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’, alongside appearances from All Time Low, Yellowcard, The Used, Simple Plan and Taking Back Sunday. Earlier programming also saw My Chemical Romance perform ‘The Black Parade’ in full, while Jimmy Eat World and A Day To Remember revisited classic records for packed out crowds.

While When We Were Young regroups, sister event Sick New World will continue its expansion in 2026 with two shows, including 25th April, 2026 in Las Vegas and 24th October, 2026 in Texas. System Of A Down will headline both, joined by KoRn, Bring Me The Horizon, Deftones and Slayer among others, keeping Las Vegas firmly at the centre of the alternative festival universe.

After four October editions at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, When We Were Young Festival will skip 2026 and return in October 2027.

With just days to go, When We Were Young Festival has unveiled the full set times and official site map for its 2025 edition. Returning to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds across the weekend of 18th and 19th October, the massive emo and pop punk celebration features the same lineup on both days, now spread across four distinct stages.

Two late lineup changes have also been confirmed, with Chiodos and Drain newly added to the bill. They replace Sleeping with Sirens and Never Shout Never, who have withdrawn from the event due to reasons outside of organisers’ control. Chiodos returns with a fan-favourite catalogue, while Drain injects fresh hardcore into the already high-energy lineup.

Headliners blink-182 and Panic! at the Disco will anchor the festival, the latter performing their landmark album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out in full for its 20th anniversary. The all-day schedule also features Weezer, Avril Lavigne, The Used, All Time Low, The Offspring, Knocked Loose, The Gaslight Anthem, Taking Back Sunday, Bad Religion, Alexisonfire, Jack’s Mannequin, and dozens more.

When We Were Young Festival shares full 2026 schedule and site layout for Las Vegas weekend.

The nostalgia-packed When We Were Young Festival is officially doubling up in Las Vegas this year. After the Saturday, October 18 date sold out in advance, organizers have announced a second show on Sunday, October 19, featuring the exact same stacked lineup at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.

Headlining both days are Panic! At The Disco, who will perform their iconic debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out in full, and blink-182, delivering a throwback set featuring hits from Enema of the State, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, and Untitled.

The festival’s undercard is just as exciting, featuring Weezer, Avril Lavigne, The Offspring, All Time Low, The Used, Knocked Loose, The Gaslight Anthem, Bad Religion, and Yellowcard. Fans can also expect rare performances from Never Shout Never, The Cab, The Rocket Summer, and Jack’s Mannequin, making it a must-attend event for pop-punk and emo lovers.

With the first date selling out quickly, fans will want to act fast when tickets for the second show go on sale this Friday, February 28, at 10 AM PT.
