FISHER's Out 2 Lunch Festival has officially been postponed, with organisers confirming the 2026 edition will no longer go ahead as planned due to mounting economic pressures. The touring event, which was set to span multiple cities across Australia in May, will now return in 2027, with new dates to be announced.

The decision comes amid what organisers describe as “severe pressures” tied to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, compounded by a national diesel shortage impacting large-scale event logistics. With fuel supply disruptions affecting transport, power generation and production infrastructure, promoters determined the scale of the festival could not be delivered to the expected standard.

FISHER shared his disappointment in a statement, acknowledging the difficulty of the decision while emphasising the importance of delivering the best possible experience for fans. Promoters echoed the sentiment, noting that postponing to 2027 allows the event to return at full capacity rather than compromise on quality during a challenging period.

FISHER’s Out 2 Lunch Festival is officially returning in May 2026, locking in a four-date Australian run that will see the globally celebrated DJ bring his signature high-energy chaos to Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Sydney and Perth. After a history-making debut on Coolangatta Beach in 2024 and a triumphant encore in 2025, the fast-rising festival has quickly cemented itself as one of the country’s most in-demand dance events, pairing world-class electronic line-ups with iconic outdoor locations.

Curated by FISHER and delivered in partnership with Vodafone, Out 2 Lunch Festival 2026 boasts a stacked bill led by the man himself, joined by English duo Gorgon City, bass pioneer Skream, BBC Radio tastemaker Sarah Story, Chicago house favourite Azzecca and dancefloor weapon Little Fritter, with more acts to be revealed. The national tour kicks off at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on Saturday, 2nd May, 2026, before heading to Doug Jennings Park on the Gold Coast on Sunday, 3rd May, Sydney International Regatta Centre on Saturday, 9th May, and Wellington Square in Perth on Sunday, 10th May.

Vodafone customers can access an exclusive presale from 12pm local time on Friday, 20th February, followed by a fan presale at 12pm local time on Tuesday, 24th February. General public tickets go on sale from 12pm local time on Wednesday, 25th February, with first release tickets starting at $189.90 and VIP packages available.

Out 2 Lunch Festival has announced a venue change for its 2025 edition, moving the Gold Coast event from its original home at Surfers Paradise Beach to a new waterfront location just a short distance away — Broadwater Parklands. The relocation comes in response to recent weather events, allowing vital cyclone beach recovery work to continue while keeping the festival in the heart of the Gold Coast for the Labour Day long weekend.

Now in its second year, Out 2 Lunch will still deliver a stacked lineup of house and techno favourites, with FISHER, Chris Lake, Hayden James, Patrick Topping, DJ Boring, Noizu, Little Fritter, Shimmy, and Jake Smith all locked in to perform on May 3 and 4. Organisers have reassured fans that all existing tickets remain valid for the new location, and no further action is needed.

FISHER and friends are gearing up to bring high energy and good vibes to the Broadwater this May, promising a massive celebration across the long weekend.
