With just days to go, New Year’s at the Bowl has unveiled its official set times for the inaugural 2025 edition, locking in a stacked schedule across three stages at Melbourne’s iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl and Gardens. The one-day celebration takes place on 31st December, with gates opening from 4pm and music running well into the early hours.

Electronic legends Underworld will bring the night to a euphoric close at The Bowl, playing a peak-time set from 12.10am to 1.25am. Just before them, Carl Cox will lead the New Year’s Eve countdown from 11pm, while Confidence Man, Sam Gellaitry, and Good Neighbours round out a high-energy Bowl lineup. Elsewhere in the Garden, Berlioz, Joy Crookes, and Milo Eastwood will keep the vibes flowing, while the Sundial stage will host late-night performances from Ross From Friends (presents Bubble Love), Roza Terenzi, and Prosumer.

Fans can now plan their night in full, with no major artist clashes across headline sets. Highlights from the earlier schedule include performances by INJI, Big Wett, Emma-Jean Thackray, and Harvey Sutherland, offering something for all tastes from the moment gates open. The festival’s multi-stage layout is designed for seamless flow between acts, with each zone offering a unique sound and atmosphere.

New Year’s at the Bowl has announced a major format change to its debut edition, cancelling its New Year’s Day (NYD) programming and instead expanding its New Year’s Eve (NYE) offering into a single supersized event. The inaugural festival will now take place exclusively on Tuesday, 31st December, 2025, at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl and Gardens.

Organisers confirmed the shift was driven by strong demand for a one-night celebration, prompting the addition of a third stage and an extended curfew through to 1:30 am. Key NYD acts including Confidence Man, Sam Gellaitry, Ross From Friends, Roza Terenzi and Prosumer have been moved to the NYE lineup, joining previously announced artists like Underworld, Carl Cox, Marc Rebillet, Joy Crookes and Harvey Sutherland.

Ticketholders for NYD can either swap to NYE or request a full refund. Those with two-day passes will automatically receive a partial refund reflecting the change. While not every NYD artist could make the switch—Santigold, Maribou State, The Preatures and Glass Beams among them—organisers have promised an unforgettable experience to ring in 2026.

Melbourne is set to welcome a brand-new large-scale celebration to ring in 2026, with the launch of New Year’s at the Bowl. Held over two days on 31st December, 2025 and 1st January, 2026, the event will transform the iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl and surrounding gardens into a multi-stage festival destination. Presented by Live Nation, the event blends high-energy revelry on New Year’s Eve with chilled-out grooves on New Year’s Day.

Leading the charge on New Year’s Eve are UK electronic legends Underworld, joined by Carl Cox with a special NYE countdown set, plus local favourites Confidence Man, Marc Rebillet, and Sam Gellaitry. The NYE lineup also includes Ross From Friends pres. Bubble Love, INJI, Roza Terenzi, Prosumer, Big Wett, and more, delivering a bold mix of house, techno, electro-pop, and live performance energy.

On New Year’s Day, festivalgoers can ease into 2026 with a more soulful selection, led by Maribou State, Berlioz, Santigold, Joy Crookes, Glass Beams, and The Preatures. The lineup also features Tornado Wallace with a special three-hour set, alongside Bradley Zero, Emma-Jean Thackray, Harvey Sutherland, Velvet Trip, and a host of emerging acts spanning jazz, funk, indie and downtempo electronica.
