Untitled Group, the Australian independent powerhouse behind Beyond The Valley and Pitch Music & Arts Festival, has announced DRIFT, a brand-new single-day electronic music festival touching down in Perth and Brisbane in early 2027. Taking place at Ozone Reserve in Boorloo/Perth on Sunday 28th February, 2027, and at the Gateway Bridge Underpass in Meanjin/Brisbane on Saturday 6th March, 2027, DRIFT is designed to transform two distinctly different urban settings into open-air electronic music destinations, moving from afternoon into evening and deep into the night.

Spanning two stages at each location, DRIFT promises carefully curated lineups drawing together local and international electronic artists, with musical discovery and a sense of exploration at its core. The festival takes its name from that fleeting moment between wakefulness and sleep, where reality softens and anything feels possible. Perth's late-summer waterside setting at Ozone Reserve and Brisbane's raw concrete industrial atmosphere beneath the Gateway Bridge each bring their own character to the experience, with distinctive stage design tailored to suit both environments.

Ahead of the debut, Untitled Group has launched The Drift Study, a cryptic pre-festival campaign inviting locals to explore the subconscious minds of both cities through a mysterious sleep study concept, offering early clues into DRIFT's dreamlike world. Pre-sale registration is now open for both shows. Perth is presented by Untitled Group and Garbage, while Brisbane is co-presented by Untitled Group, Ascend, and Kindacool.

Speaking on the announcement, Untitled Group Co-Founder and Managing Partner Nicholas Greco described DRIFT as something that goes beyond the traditional festival experience, built around the feeling of getting lost in music and discovering the unexpected. With strong electronic music communities in both Perth and Brisbane, DRIFT looks set to offer fans in two of Australia's most vibrant cities a genuinely fresh addition to the local festival calendar when it arrives in early 2027.
