Sweet Home Aotearoa Reveals Debut 2026 Lineup Banner

SIX60 are kicking off the new year with something truly special—Sweet Home Aotearoa, a brand new country and roots festival set to launch on Saturday, 3rd January, 2026. Taking place at the scenic Matakana Country Park, just north of Auckland, this one-day celebration brings Nashville vibes to New Zealand soil with a stacked lineup of homegrown heroes and international stars.

Curated by the band themselves, the inaugural lineup features genre-blending favourites including Yelawolf, Tash Sultana (performing an exclusive DJ set), Brad Cox, Tami Neilson, Hori Shaw, South Summit, Rachael Fahim, TheWesternGuide, and Rosie Teese. Headlining the event are SIX60, bringing their signature fusion of Kiwi roots, soulful anthems and country influences to the heart of summer.

Inspired by time spent recording in Nashville, the band wanted to recreate that authentic storytelling spirit for Aotearoa. “We knew it was time for New Zealand to have its first country and roots festival,” said SIX60. Alongside the music, punters can expect local food and drink, good vibes, and a uniquely relaxed Kiwi atmosphere that blends country charm with coastal cool.

Sweet Home Aotearoa is an all-ages event, though anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian. Tickets go on sale at 12 PM on Tuesday, 28th October. With a top-tier lineup and an unbeatable setting, this could become the new must-do event on the summer festival calendar.
