Melbourne’s beloved electronic music festival Sugar Mountain is officially returning in 2026 with a massive lineup and a brand-new venue in the heart of the city. After several years of collaborative events with Boiler Room, Sugar Mountain makes its solo comeback on Saturday, 21st February, 2026.
The one-day festival will take over The Paddock, a unique open-air space nestled between Fed Square’s car park, Birrarung Marr and the nearby train line. Keeping with tradition, the festival’s signature 360-degree stage will return, immersing punters in a full surround-sound dance experience beneath the summer sky.
Leading the Sugar Mountain 2026 lineup are feel-good house hero salute, Canadian techno icon Tiga, and Danilo Plessow of Motor City Drum Ensemble fame. They’ll be joined by Chilean DJ and producer Paula Tape, Melbourne live electronic favourite Pretty Girl, Baby G, and local up-and-comer Yikes, promising a high-energy mix of global selectors and homegrown talent.

Presented by Sugar Mountain, Soothsayer and Resident Advisor, the festival continues its legacy of progressive, boundary-pushing dance music. Pre-sale begins at 11:00 AM AEDT on Thursday, 13th November, with general sale starting Friday, 14th November at the same time. With its return to the CBD and a refreshed format, Sugar Mountain 2026 is set to be one of Melbourne’s standout electronic events of the summer.
