Strummingbird, the Australian country and roots music festival that made its highly anticipated debut in 2025, has confirmed that Perth will not be part of its 2026 touring schedule. The festival launched last year across three cities, visiting the Kawana Sports Precinct on the Sunshine Coast on 25th October, 2025, Foreshore Park in Newcastle on 1st November, 2025, and Claremont Showground in Perth on 2nd November, 2025, with the Sunshine Coast date selling out entirely.
In a message to fans, the Strummingbird team expressed genuine disappointment about skipping Western Australia this year, acknowledging what was clearly a memorable stop on the debut run. While Perth is off the table for 2026, the festival has teased that a brand new location is being added to the lineup this year, with an official announcement expected very soon. Strummingbird 2026 is expected to return in late October or November 2026, keeping in line with the spring festival window established in its debut year.
The 2025 edition featured an impressive bill headlined by Jelly Roll and Shaboozey, alongside Treaty Oak Revival, Kaylee Bell, Drew Baldridge, Julia Cole, Hot Dub Time Machine and a strong supporting cast of both international and Australian talent. With that kind of debut energy behind it, anticipation for the 2026 Strummingbird lineup and full touring details is already building fast.

For a festival only one year old, Strummingbird is already reshaping the Australian country music festival calendar in a significant way. Fans across the country are being urged to stay tuned for the incoming 2026 location reveal, Strummingbird ticket announcements, and further details, all of which are expected to drop in the very near future.
