US singer D4vd has officially been removed from the 2025 Spilt Milk festival lineup, following confirmation that he is connected to an ongoing police investigation involving the discovery of a missing teenager’s body in a car registered to him. The festival, which takes place this December across four Australian cities, quietly removed the artist from its promotional materials last week before issuing a formal statement.
The news was confirmed by Spilt Milk organisers on 25th September, stating: “Last week we removed d4vd from our website and marketing out of respect for the unfolding story. We can now confirm d4vd will not perform at Spilt Milk and we are working on a replacement booking which we’ll announce as soon as it’s finalised.”
D4vd, real name David Burke, had been scheduled to perform alongside Kendrick Lamar, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Sara Landry and Schoolboy Q as part of the sold-out regional festival. His upcoming Australian headline shows have also been cancelled, and promoters are yet to release further details. Burke has not been named as a suspect or person of interest and is reportedly cooperating with authorities.
The investigation stems from the discovery of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas’ body inside the trunk of a Tesla at a Los Angeles tow yard. The vehicle was registered to Burke, though he was touring at the time the body was discovered. While the investigation remains active, Spilt Milk is moving ahead with its 2025 tour, which includes stops in Ballarat, Perth, Canberra and the Gold Coast this December.
