Spilt Milk Festival has announced the cancellation of its 2024 edition, leaving fans disappointed. The festival, which typically runs from late November to early December across Canberra, Gold Coast, Ballarat, and Perth, will not take place this year.
In a heartfelt message to fans, the festival organizers said, "Sorry pookies, we couldn’t get you the Spilt Milk you deserve this year. Sooo imma dip for a bit and come back when I can make all ur dreams come true. I miss u xx."
Concerns about the 2024 festival began earlier this month when no dates or lineup were confirmed, deviating from the usual early July announcements. This delay sparked rumours and speculation among fans and industry insiders.
Adding to the intrigue, there were whispers that Spilt Milk had intended to secure Kendrick Lamar as a headliner but was unable to finalize the booking. This rumor only fueled the uncertainty surrounding the festival's fate.
The 2023 Spilt Milk lineup featured high-profile acts such as Post Malone, Dom Dolla, Aitch, Chris Lake, Lastlings, Lime Cordiale, Ocean Alley, and Partiboi69, setting high expectations for the following year.
While the cancellation is a significant blow to the Australian music festival scene, fans remain hopeful for a triumphant return in 2025. Organisers have promised to come back with an even better experience when the festival resumes.
