The Fuji Rock Festival, one of Japan's most celebrated music events, has announced that SZA will no longer be performing at the 2024 edition. SZA was originally scheduled to perform on Friday, July 26th, at the Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa. This news comes as a significant disappointment to fans who were eagerly anticipating her performance.
In an official statement, the festival organisers expressed their deep apologies to those who were looking forward to SZA's performance. Despite the cancellation, they confirmed that ticket refunds will not be issued due to this change. "We deeply regret this situation and hope for your continued support of Fuji Rock Festival ’24," the statement read.
While SZA’s withdrawal is a notable loss, the festival still boasts a robust and diverse lineup. Headliners include iconic electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and American hardcore band Turnstile. Additionally, the festival will feature performances by Peggy Gou, Floating Points, Omar Apollo, Remi Wolf, Raye, The Last Dinner Party, Oliver Tree, and many more.
Despite the setback, Fuji Rock Festival 2024 is set to deliver an unforgettable experience, celebrating music and culture in one of Japan’s most scenic locations. Fans and attendees are encouraged to continue their support and enjoy the diverse array of talent that will still be taking the stage.
