Rolling Loud Thailand 2025 has been cancelled, with organisers confirming the festival will not go ahead following months of silence, speculation, and mounting pressure from fans. A source close to the festival has revealed that the decision stemmed from serious financial and legal issues involving local partner More Return PLC.
The hip-hop festival was originally set to take place in November, though fans had grown increasingly sceptical after no lineup announcement arrived, despite the event being just 45 days away. That frustration boiled over when Rolling Loud's socials posted a cryptic photo at 4am local time, only to follow up with a cancellation announcement later that morning. The statement cited “circumstances out of our control” without naming More Return.
Speaking to BK, a source close to the festival explained that ongoing fraud investigations involving More Return had directly impacted the festival's operations. In recent months, the company has been embroiled in allegations of complex securities crimes, resulting in the seizure of over ฿4.5 billion in assets and charges filed against 42 individuals.
“Some of those things ended up spilling over onto the festival,” the source said. “This is never the outcome Rolling Loud wanted in Thailand.” Despite the cancellation, the festival team is reportedly planning a return to Asia in 2026 and is exploring new locations across the region—with Thailand still under consideration.
The event would have marked the third edition of Rolling Loud Thailand, a key fixture for hip-hop fans in Southeast Asia. With no Rolling Loud events currently scheduled in Asia for 2025, the festival’s absence leaves a major gap in the global hip-hop festival circuit.
