Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, an Insomniac Events-owned camping fest, has confirmed that it will be taking a hiatus in 2024. The festival, known for its diverse and eclectic lineups, has been a beloved fixture in the East Coast music festival landscape since its debut in 2016.

The news of the festival's "fallow year" came from Festive Owl, a festival watchdog, who disclosed the impending hiatus on social media. The event's creator, Soundslinger, is the proprietor of Sunshine Grove, the 800-acre home of Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival. While their specific involvement in the festival's future is unclear, they expressed plans to return the festival to its multi-genre musical roots.

"As owners and safekeepers of our beautiful land, Sunshine Grove, Soundslinger cares deeply about the community that witnessed Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival come to life from 2016 onwards," the company stated. "We are working hard to keep OMF close to its original roots in a big way and reignite the sparks. Those formative years were special to all of us. Hang tight and remember to always Be, Here, Now."

Insomniac acquired the festival in 2019, and a joint statement at the time highlighted their commitment to creating transformative and immersive experiences through music and interactive art in the Florida community.

This years Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival 2023 featured headlining acts like Excision, ODESZA, GRiZ, and Baby Keem. As fans await the festival's return, its legacy remains cherished and eagerly anticipated.
