Chelmsford will welcome a brand-new Americana-inspired camping festival in 2026 as State Fayre makes its debut from 26th to 28th June. Held at Hylands Park, the event promises a blend of iconic live music and nostalgic fairground charm, recreating the feel of a traditional all-American state fair right in the UK.
Kings of Leon will headline the Friday night, followed by Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts on Saturday, with The Lumineers closing the three-day event on Sunday. Supporting the stellar top line are acts including Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton, The Black Crowes, Counting Crows, KT Tunstall, Kip Moore, and Sierra Ferrell, among many others. The diverse lineup spans folk, rock, and country, aimed squarely at lovers of Americana music.
With a capacity of 30,000, State Fayre is gearing up to be the UK’s biggest music and BBQ festival. Festivalgoers can expect three main stages, a sprawling BBQ pit, classic fairground attractions, live cooking demos, and food options catering to both carnivores and plant-based eaters. Glamping packages will also be available for those seeking a more luxurious festival experience.

Tickets for State Fayre 2026 go on sale Friday, 28th November at 9am, with presales beginning from Wednesday, 26th November. Organisers from Live Nation say the festival is a response to growing UK demand for Americana, country and southern rock, brought to life in an immersive outdoor setting.
