Roundhay Festival has revealed its first major announcement for 2026, with Lewis Capaldi confirmed to headline the brand-new event. Taking place at Leeds’ iconic Roundhay Park, the festival will make its debut on Saturday, 4th July, 2026, with Capaldi marking his much-anticipated live return in what is set to be a landmark moment for the city.
Known for his soulful voice and emotionally resonant songwriting, the Scottish singer-songwriter is the first artist announced for the festival, with the full lineup and day-by-day programme still to come. Capaldi’s headline performance will mark a major comeback for the chart-topping artist following a period of time away from the stage.
The event is being produced by AEG Presents, with CEO Jim King saying, “We’re proud to announce Lewis Capaldi as the first ever Roundhay Festival headliner in 2026, a true milestone moment.” The festival, supported by American Express and Leeds City Council, also promises a midweek programme of free, all-ages activities focused on arts, culture and wellbeing, along with strong commitments to community engagement and sustainability.
Roundhay Festival will also partner with Big Green Coach as its official travel provider, and work closely with Roundhay School to provide students opportunities in event production. Tickets go on sale soon, with the American Express presale starting Monday, 15th September at 10am, followed by artist presale on Thursday, 18th September, and general on sale from 9am on Friday, 19th September.
