Falls Festival 2023 Cancelled

After ringing in the New Year with some of the world's leading music acts for an impressive 28 years, the team behind Falls Festival has announced they will be hitting the pause button for this upcoming New Year's season.

Following two years of Covid-induced event postponements, Falls Festival made a triumphant comeback in 2022/23. The event featured an all-star lineup that included the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Lil Nas X, Peggy Gou, Jamie xx, Chvrches, Spacey Jane, Amyl and the Sniffers, Genesis Owusu, PinkPantheress, and crowd favourites, The Wiggles. This star-studded event took place in Byron, Fremantle, and for the first time, Melbourne City.

Jessica Ducrou, Secret Sounds Co-CEO and Falls Festival producer, acknowledged the significant changes the live music industry has undergone in recent years. She praised the success of the 2022/23 event but recognised the need for the team to rest and recalibrate. Ducrou emphasised this break would also provide an opportunity to envision the future of Falls Festival.

Expressing gratitude to the festival's loyal patrons, Ducrou highlighted their crucial role in shaping the unique atmosphere of Falls. She assured fans that they will be kept updated with any future plans. Ducrou also thanked the wider Falls team, including staff, volunteers, sponsors, partners, suppliers, and key agencies, for their unwavering dedication and support.

While the break might disappoint some fans, it's clear that the team behind Falls Festival is committed to return refreshed and ready to continue their legacy of creating unforgettable New Year's experiences.
