As anticipation builds for Iceland’s once-in-a-generation total solar eclipse, the Iceland Eclipse Festival has revealed its Second Contact programming—expanding its already stellar lineup with a new wave of artists, thinkers, and experiences. Held from 12th–15th August, 2026 on Iceland’s Snæfellsnes Peninsula, the festival blends music, science, space, wellness, and art into a four-day celebration of creativity, connection, and celestial wonder.
Joining the bill are genre-defying artists Imogen Heap, Reggie Watts, East Forest, and Arc De Soleil, alongside multidisciplinary minds like Dr. Rick Doblin (MAPS), Anouk Wipprecht (FashionTech pioneer), and Ben Rein (neuroscientist and storyteller). Attendees can also look forward to keynotes, panels, and installations from figures shaping the future across AI, sustainability, and space exploration. Other notable additions include filmmaker Amélie Ravalec, futurist Phnam Bagley, psychotherapist Jessica Fern, and volcanologist Dr. Robin George Andrews.
The new lineup joins previously announced acts such as MEDUZA³, Berlioz, Daði Freyr, Booka Shade, and Nightmares on Wax, along with astronauts from NASA, SpaceX, Blue Origin, and Virgin Galactic, plus innovation leaders from the UN, Space for Humanity, and Eden Foundation. With only 3,333 guests, Iceland Eclipse promises an immersive and intimate experience set against volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, and black sand beaches.
Also announced are three exclusive Side Quests: an acoustic concert inside an 8,000-year-old lava cave (Into the Lava), a rare performance within Iceland’s second-largest glacier (Inside the Glacier), and a guided eclipse-viewing hike to Svöðufoss waterfall (Totality at the Waterfall). A range of Day Trips, Local Legends bus routes, and Multi-Day Tours will let attendees explore Iceland's surreal landscapes through kayaking, crater hikes, volcano flights, and more.

With First Contact passes sold out, Second Contact tickets are now on sale. As the only total solar eclipse visible from Iceland until the year 2196, the Iceland Eclipse Festival offers a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness nature’s rarest event through the lens of art, science, and community.
