Bulgaria’s premier heavy music event, Hills of Rock Festival, has confirmed a massive return to Plovdiv’s iconic Rowing Canal from 24th to 26th July, 2026, unveiling a lineup that spans generations of metal and rock royalty alongside modern heavy innovators. The three-day event continues to cement its reputation as one of Eastern Europe’s most influential festivals, combining global headliners with an unmistakable sense of place and scale.
Set in the historic city of Plovdiv, often referred to as The City of Seven Hills, Hills of Rock unfolds against a backdrop of Roman ruins, Ottoman architecture and a thriving contemporary arts scene. The Rowing Canal’s vast open parklands form a natural amphitheatre, delivering an atmosphere where crushing riffs meet one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities.
The 2026 lineup showcases the breadth of heavy music, led by the theatrical intensity of Marilyn Manson, the arena-sized power of Godsmack and the modern metal energy of Electric Callboy. Fans can also expect the uncompromising force of Lamb of God, gothic legends Paradise Lost, blackened intensity from Deafheaven and rising names including Northlane, Vended and Orbit Culture, with more announcements still to come.

With Bulgaria’s growing profile as a cultural and travel destination, Hills of Rock 2026 stands as a defining moment for the region’s live music scene. Promoted by Fest Team, the festival also offers an official on-site camping area, ensuring three immersive days of world-class heavy music in one of Europe’s most striking festival settings.
