Good Vibes Festival 2024 Cancelled Due to Coronation Ceremony

Future Sound Asia has announced the cancellation of the highly anticipated Good Vibes Festival 2024, originally scheduled for July 20-21 at Resorts World Awana, Malaysia. The decision comes in response to a directive from the authorities, which prohibits large-scale performances involving international artists on July 20, 2024, in respect of the Coronation Ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

The festival, known for its eclectic lineup featuring global stars like Joji, Russ, J Balvin, Peggy Gou, Alec Benjamin, and many more, was set to be a major event in Malaysia's music calendar. However, the unique nature of Good Vibes Festival, which involves multiple touring acts over multiple days, made rescheduling the event impossible.

Future Sound Asia expressed regret over the cancellation but emphasized their commitment to honoring the directive and respecting the significance of the Coronation Ceremony. They have assured all ticket purchasers that full refunds will be automatically processed and returned to the payment method used for their purchase.

This cancellation marks a significant disappointment for music fans and the festival community. The organizers thank the fans for their understanding and support during this unforeseen circumstance and look forward to bringing Good Vibes Festival back in future editions under more favourable conditions.
