With just weeks to go before gates open, Spilt Milk has added genre-defying visionary Genesis Owusu to its 2025 lineup. The announcement comes alongside indie-pop artist Lotte Gallagher, who will make her debut at the Ballarat leg of the festival, stepping in for Larissa Lambert. Both additions follow the removal of US artist d4vd due to an ongoing investigation.

Returning this December, Spilt Milk will hit four locations across Australia — Ballarat, Perth, Canberra, and the Gold Coast — for its first run since 2023. The touring festival was cancelled in 2024, but its 2025 comeback is a strong one, headlined by Kendrick Lamar and featuring Doechii, Dominic Fike, Schoolboy Q, Ninajirachi, Sara Landry, The Rions and more. Set times are expected to drop on 25th November.

Genesis Owusu’s inclusion is a major win for fans. Known for his genre-blending sound and powerful live shows, the ARIA-winning artist has become one of Australia’s most acclaimed performers. His 2023 album Struggler debuted at No. 4 on the ARIA charts, following the widespread success of Smiling with No Teeth. His 2025 Spilt Milk sets will showcase new material premiered at recent live residencies and Harvest Rock.

Meanwhile, Lotte Gallagher joins Spilt Milk fresh off the release of her second EP Blasé Vengeance. As a triple j Unearthed High alum, Gallagher has quickly become one of Australia’s most exciting indie voices. Her Ballarat performance marks her Spilt Milk debut.
