Elektrum Festival has confirmed it will not return in 2026, bringing an unexpected pause to the Dutch hard dance event following four editions since its debut in 2022. Organisers shared the news in a candid statement, citing increasing financial pressures and shifting ticket buying habits as key reasons behind the difficult decision.
The festival, which last took place as a one-day event on 11th October, 2025, had built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality lineups across hardstyle, hardcore and uptempo. Its 2025 edition featured a stacked bill including Warface, Rebelion, Radical Redemption, D-Sturb and Kruelty, alongside multiple live showcases and Spoontech anniversary performances.
In their announcement, organisers emphasised that rising production costs and the trend of late ticket purchases have made it increasingly challenging to maintain the standard fans expect while keeping prices accessible. Rather than compromise on quality, the team has opted to step back, highlighting transparency with their community as a priority.
While no plans for the future have been confirmed, Elektrum’s organisers made it clear this is not necessarily a permanent farewell. For now, the focus remains on reflecting on the festival’s impact, with the door left open for a potential return should conditions improve.
