Back Cove Music & Arts Festival has released updated set times for its 2025 debut, following the announcement that The Roots will step in for André 3000. The two-day event takes place 2nd–3rd August at Payson Park in Portland, Maine, with all eyes on its inaugural edition celebrating music, arts, and the local community.
André 3000’s withdrawal was confirmed due to unforeseen personal circumstances, with organisers extending their best wishes and announcing The Roots as his replacement. The Grammy-winning hip hop group brings decades of live performance experience to the stage, making them a highly anticipated addition to an already diverse lineup.
The refreshed set times slot The Roots into a prominent performance spot, joining headliners Jack White and Lord Huron. The weekend will also feature sets from Lucy Dacus, Turnpike Troubadours, Thee Sacred Souls, Margo Price, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and rising artists like Chance Peña and Sarah Kinsley. The updated schedule allows attendees to adjust their plans and make the most of the restructured weekend.
Fans are encouraged to revisit the official schedule ahead of the festival and prepare for a weekend of genre-spanning performances, local food vendors, and immersive art installations. Back Cove’s first chapter is shaping up to be a fresh and exciting entry into Maine’s summer festival calendar.
